Vacation = travel = good times! Whether the distance is short or long or the destination is the hills or the sea or just an adventure, travel is always fun. Traveling, even if it is sometimes for work, is a great experience. But if you are too careless about your hair and skin care during the trip, you can end up spoiled!
A new environment, a new climate, eating disorders and the stress of travel can have a negative impact on the skin and hair. It can cause dull hair days, breakouts, acne breakouts, dry lips, red lines and other problems. However, you don’t have to worry because skin and hair while traveling is not a difficult task.
Hair care and skin care tips for travel
Here are some tips to ensure your skin and hair stay healthy during your visit.
1. Research the weather
When you go to a new place, don’t guess about the weather and the weather. Read about it and write it down. Your choice of moisturizer, face wash, shampoo and sunscreen and even the makeup you wear depends on whether the weather is cold, rainy or dry. For example, you will need a pore cleanser and water skin care in humid weather while you will need a creamy moisturizer in cold weather.

2. Follow your normal skin care routine even during the holidays
Skin and hair cells never go on vacation so there should never be a break in your skin care routine. Consistent behavior is the key to happy hair and skin days. Carry your regular skin care products in travel-sized bottles to avoid spillage and luggage weight.
3. Essentials are all you need
You don’t need to bring your dress everywhere you go. Carry the essential ingredients that you use in your routine along with cleanser, toner, moisturiser, night cream and sunscreen. Also, don’t forget to carry disposable wipes to remove makeup.
4. Keep moisturizer in your purse
Fill your skin with moisturizer before boarding a plane or before driving in the cooler. Keep reapplying to keep skin moisturized. You can even carry a hydrating sheet mask to rejuvenate the skin quickly. Products rich in hyaluronic acid and vitamin C content should be your preferred choice.

5. Handle the toner
Toner is great for lifting oily skin and also energizes the skin to move. However, if you don’t have toner, use blotting paper. It will help soak the oil to the surface and prevent dirt build-up. They work well even on sensitive skin.
6. Stay clean
Make sure you have a bottle of water with you at all times. Keep drinking water at regular intervals. Many people avoid drinking water when they travel but this is not a good idea. Lack of water can affect your skin and hair in a bad way. Not drinking enough water robs the skin of its glow and the fur of its shine. Drink water regularly.
7. There is no way to protect yourself from the sun
You can leave everything at home, but not the sunscreen. You need to apply it before you leave the house and keep applying every 3-4 hours. Yes, even on your plane and taxi! Sunscreen helps prevent tanning, skin damage, pigmentation and premature aging. Use a gel-based sunscreen in the summer and a cream-based one in the cold. Use an SPF of more than 30.
8. Cover your hair with a scarf or hat
Protect your hair from dirt and grime and from the harsh sun by covering it. This also prevents aging of the skin and ensures that your hair stays thin and dark for a long time.
9. Keep hair tied
We know it’s tempting to let the hair flow and get those celebrity selfies and photos but it might not be doing your hair any good. Constant exposure to strong winds can damage your hair. Air carries dirt and particles that cause oily scalps, clogged pores and tangled hair that tends to break. Keep hair tied in a bun or braid to prevent hair damage.

10. Keep makeup basic
Too much makeup is prone to falling off and dirt getting stuck in it. And, if you can’t get rid of it, it can cause breakouts, skin discoloration, dry skin and even fine lines. You don’t want that. So, keep makeup to a bare minimum.
11. Avoid using hotel toilets
Your skin is different and needs specific products and unknown washes will not help your skin and hair. They are usually of high quality and are designed for general use. Your skin or scalp may react badly to the product. Therefore, do not use these products unless necessary. Or read the ingredients carefully before use.
Travel should be fun and not have to worry about skin and hair. Follow the tips provided, and you won’t have to worry about anything. Keep good skin and hair products close at hand and customized to go.
